This project is co-financed by the EU program "Horizon 2020" project "IN-HABIT - Inclusive Health and Wellbeing in Small and Medium Size Cities."
Thanks to the "IN-HABIT – healthy and inclusive cities" project of the EU program "Horizon 2020" and the Riga City Council, since the summer of 2023, a co-creation kitchen RE CEP TE has been implemented, where everyone can learn to cook healthy dishes in open cooking master classes, get to know local and foreign culinary heritage and innovation, organize entertaining and educational events, organize team meetings or film TV shows and develop new business ideas.
Thanks to the "IN-HABIT – healthy and inclusive cities" project of the EU program "Horizon 2020" and the Riga City Council, since the summer of 2023, RE CEP TE has hosted a variety of public and private events that have invited participants to explore different national cuisines, build team cohesion, celebrate holidays, discover and share recipes. The kitchen has seen hundreds of cooking masterclasses where groups of all ages and types, along with market friends and cafés, have learned to ferment kimchi, marinate shashlik, make Asian bao burgers, Georgian khinkali, Ukrainian varenyky, homemade ice cream, bake pizzas in the oven, and explore Latvian seasonal dishes. Together with Nepali Vishakha Chand, participants have discovered traditional Nepali dishes, while primary school students have prepared dishes characteristic of German cuisine in collaboration with the German Embassy in Latvia. During this time, nearly 10 brunches have been held in collaboration with chef Ineta Grēniņa, TURBO FOODS, and the owners of an Italian shop. The kitchen has hosted several birthdays, team-building events, book launches, video shoots for the "Māmiņu Klubs" TV show, and other content creators. In September 2024, the second open cooking workshop series on Latvian national cuisine concluded. This series included 8 workshops with experienced chefs and is supported by the Riga City Society Integration Program and the European Union's Horizon 2020 project "In-Habit”
